Its there in my mind, I can see it but still of it I can’t find, Big enough it is for every thought, Still to put on it I have naught… In my mind I can see so many pictures, Are they made for my canvas or, Is it my mind that causes these strictures, Nothing on my canvas am I able to store… Maybe a fresher canvas needs to be brought about, Into my closet of thoughts I need to dig out, What a pile of junk does there reside, Too much dust, too little thought, Maybe I should move it all outside… © ed ~ 10/7/06

Tried painting once Bob Ross way, did a snow scene, framed it, hung it in my place a while, got tired of it, out to trash it went. Was my first attempt, not trying again but envy those who can paint. This is a very colorful descriptive write. Brought back some memories of earlier days.

Ed dear sir, I have seen many fine works of art come from the canvas of your mind. Sometimes it’s abstract, other times it’s surreal. Even sometimes it’s a collage. All in all, the works are there…keep on splashing Sir.

I have canvases sitting patiently waiting until I summon up the motivation to clothe them - usually with a sheet for a while longer. I am working on a portrait at present. This is when I start talking to the canvas. All it does is stare back.

Don't let the writer's block get you down, dear Ed. Just blow off the dust, the thoughts are all there, just a little jumbled, but you can do it I know you can.
Great write about it.

:) I can understand this well-I don't have this feeling with my writing, but with my art, forget it, that canvas stares at me and reminds me that I don't have the freedom of images that I have of words and that something in me has to let go before they will come out! Enjoyed this.

Mr Profound this morning;-) Never get rid of former traits for they are intermingled with who you truly are. You can relegate bad things to a distant cell, and hope not to hear too much from them. But whatever the trait it is part of who you are and contributes to the whole. I agree with Victor;-)...Eileen
