Good Home Cookin' from a Box...

Poem Artwork

Powdered mashed potatoes,

Of the Garlic & cheddar variety,

Boxed chicken stuffing,

All cooked in fresh & new pots,

Wouldn’t go well I guess in high society…

But as for me, on a day I stayed home,

Fit for a king but made for a pauper,

Granted not a meal plated in gold,

Nor even silver does this one rate,

But good enough for me if plated in chrome…

Chicken, potatoes and stuffing,

A good American meal, I am not bluffing,

Not even am I of it roughing,

I just hope it stays down when to bed I do go,

That is when I will find out if from the opposite end it will flow or no…J

Too much information, Ed. I am the queen of "homemade" since I don't like all the chemicals in most packaged foods, but it does take time to work from outside the box. I hope you don't get the "poopies" Ed.
Take care,
Sherry

Will it flow, or no? Now that is an epic question, little brother! Probably best that you didn't come live in my outhouse, it has a very limited capacity.

We're the king of our own castle, and our food is our banquet. A homeless guy I knew once invited me into his 'skip'. It was nothing more than a derelict doorway covered by a large discarded piece of hardboard. Behind this wall of protection was an old office seat and rags on the concrete floor. This was his castle, and he gave me the honour of sitting on his seat while he stood. Sadly, he died in this doorway, and lay for a few days before someone passing noticed. Billy was the homless guy's name. He died at 45 years of age. That doorway was his castle which he had jealously guarded - sad and pathetic really.

Dai

Where it comes from ain't important.
Does it taste good? Does it have too much fat?
Will it give us protien? Will lt make us anti-social?
Don't wait for the answers... get chompin'
Always enjoy eating with you, Ed..... - Bill
