Shivers, shakes & sweats...

Any input would greatly be welcomed...thanks

Last night my temp over the limit,

Shivers, shakes and sweats rounded out the night,

Went away it seems in time for days light,

Temp now not as bad, I must be winning the fight…

Pulled a muscle in my side,

From coughing or sneezing, I can’t it abide,

Water to keep me hydrated, I’ve been drinking,

This time last night in my bed I felt I was sinking…

I now wonder if to work tomorrow I should go,

Or call the boss this early & stay out till Tuesday’s show,

Better tonight I really do feel, I don’t want it to return though,

Any suggestions regards work, I would greatly appreciate,

Maybe then we could work out a little quid pro quo…J

Best to take a couple of days afterwards to recoup your energy and strength levels, Ed - I always do.

when in doubt, stay home is the philosophy here at the hospital or so they say...but try to do it too often and the frowns from above start to appear. i hope you are better, there is a nasty virus going around here in the midwest

Anyone with shivers, shakes, and sweats should definitely be callin in sick, Bro. You could get pneumonia by going out to work - and I should know, I've had it three times - and it ain't no fun at all. Take some aspirin, sip some hot tea, go Back to Bed until you shake it off - and call me in the mornin.

All of these remedies may work, but see a doctor.

Sounds viral...which seems to mean it can spike up again and go away...not fun. Lay low and drink lots of liquids and eat garlic and onions.

I'm so sorry Ed. Get some Musinex and Ibuprofen for fever...chicken soup and orange juice and liquids. My grandmother would crunch up peppermint in honey and lemon juice with Jack Daniels or rye whiskey. As kids we thought it was nasty but it got us well. Easy on the whiskey Ed. I hope you are feeling better by tomorrow.
Love,
Susan
