We should all feel for his poor wife...

Poem Artwork

Lil’ Eddie again did it,

Made me on Christmas throw a fit,

No gift did he send,

The day will come when to heaven he will have to transcend,

And with the Gods he will then have to contend…

Unless maybe this rain we are having he did send,

Another day or so of rain sent by himself,

Maybe instead of going up, he will have to descend,

Into the dark, dank netherworld, sitting on hot coals with his hind end…

Several years now and no gift,

He’d just as soon set me on the sea, adrift,

I cannot understand how his wife puts up with his face lift,

Really he has with the family got us all quite miffed…

ED...

THE PAST IS FOREVER O'ER,
THE FUTURE HAS YET TO ARRIVE AT YOUR DOOR,
THE CURRENT NEW DAY IS YOUR 'GIFT'...
ERGO, IT IS CALLED THE 'PRESENT' !!!

The Postman only rings once, Bro. Your elegantly wrapped, and extremely expensive gift was sadly returned to me with a note from the Post Office - 'Saw recipient through the window - obviously passed out cold - could not deliver - and the value of this package far exceeded the limit for leaving it at the doorstep without signature of receipt.'

I guess I'll just keep it now!

HO, HO, HO!

Enjoyed the write...enjoyed the smile! Hmmm, maybe he didn't have postage stampes in the doghouse...I hear he spent a little time out there through the holidays!
Blessings,
Joyce B.

Must just been an oversight. Being a govt worker all those years may have left him with the need form a blue ribbon panel to discover the cause of the oversight.

Maybe due to the Christmas mail rush it got hung up. Just be patient. I am sure he didn't forget; I'm sure he's wondering the same thing--if you got it. Just hang in there. (I'm still waiting on packages myself, from Canada and California; but they'll be here in good time. Christmas is not over for us!)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Thanks for the smiles!
