That Picture There Looks Like It Was Takin From My Home Town Back In The Day-they didn't get a stop sign for the main drag in town till 1988! The Owner let everyone "charge" with the honor of trust in our word if we needed gas to make it till payday.....WOW!!
I enjoyed your write taking me down memory lane, also when milk was in glass, and collecting pop bottles for candy money! lol

Ah, for those good old days, indeed, Bro.

But don't be drinkin that free water they're handin out at those gas stations; I hear they recycle it. Ya just never know who might have been sippin from it first!

Oh lill'brother so you need to take me back to better times...
Then we hadn't Starbucks, or Prada, or Malls, just Mom & Pop's grossery stores and Uncle's Joshua Gas and Tires outfit, and the local cops didn't make it a federal case if you went 35 on a 30 zone as well you haven't put your beak on that shine jug on the back seat.
Soon, only God can be able to afford any kind of chariot.

You hit that perverbial nail on its head, Ed!! Shucks, and we have to pay for the air for our tires, now! Fortunately, I'm not paying at the $3 price...yet! Can't blame the stations, 'tho...they're NOT the ones getting rich on the petroleum sales.

as young as I am, I still remeber those days, even when I started driving, the attendent would come out and check everything. But, my father, thank God, still made sure, I knew how to do all those things, and who would have thought, how that knowlege is needed now. and gas, wow, 3.24 here in Mi, who would have thought
