Nuked hot dogs & cheese on rye…

Poem Artwork

I get the munchies and snack,

These kind of sandwiches I can’t put in a pack,

On my paper plate to avoid a mess,

I do these three sandwiches stack…

Not very good for me I am well aware,

But when I am high caution goes away somewhere,

Mustard too used profusely leaving no spare,

Wash it all down with a glass of milk, or juice from a pear…

A meal not fit for a king,

But I have developed to them a liking,

Of course Rufuz gets one without the rye,

If not he just sits around and does cry,

The big hairy baby…

I used to boil a dog, butter bad for you white bread, lay dog on, knife on meat only either catsup or mustard (not both), and squeeze that sucker until had good finger impressions--heaven!

Now only eat 'em on trips.

What? No saurkraut on the bun/bread?? Or caramelized onions? Ya gotta get somber and splurge, Ed! But OK to leave the extras off RUF's plate :o)

Rufuz only gets One? And without Rye?

No wonder he keeps e-mailing my mutts about how hungry he is. I think this year, I'll skip your lavish Christmas Present, and just send a huge Care Package, to Rufie Boy!

This looks good enough for body and soul, and Rufuz of course, he is smart enough to know what is good. Have a great Sunday! Jasmin Horst

Since I've been living overseas, it's been difficult to find a good hotdog...but had my fair share last month when I was back home visiting!
