Poem Artwork

Sometimes I miss the winter I must admit

Ain’t that a wild piece of thought sh**

I must be nuts or in someway having a fit

If Rene heard me say this, I think she might split…

I think of the cold, the constant wind & snow

Of the winter months I do sit and daydream

Rufuz can go where I go, no extreme heat

Life for some reason seems simpler

In any season a monumental feat…

I’m really beginning to doubt my sanity

But for purposes of my own vanity

I try not to tell too many about this

For fear they will answer with profanity…

Ed I ,iss the snow, and I hate the heat of summer. Spring and fall are my favorites, but I like when I can go to the mountains and visit the snow, just half an hour from me,and that's the beauty of California, it has all the seasons at once;-) Enjoy your memories(with the pipe;-)

hey we all love snow, the snow fights the snowman
going down sleds of a down hill golf course, as I did
once upon a time in Staten Island, and while there
I was dreaming of warmer weather, you know how it is,
Its always greener on the other side of the fence.
peace brother

Surprise! Surprise! I'm witchu on this, Ed! Like Ruf and you, I get outdoors more in Winter :o) I'd like to see Winters last thru May, and begin again in September. The 100+ deg. Summers in Texas ain't my cup-o...And Spring, Fall hardly exists here. 'Course our ending and beginning Winters are usually hi-60s tolow-80s. No profanity from me on this, friend!

I do like to see the first snowfall in Winter and hope always it comes at Christmas, but hasn't in years. My deceased Dog Joy loved to go out in the snow as RufuZ does. Thoughts of winter now are enjoyable to read, good poetry.

As a Yankee (now a Transplanted Texan), I'd give anything for a little snow or cold. I love winter; always have, always will. As I age, I find the heat more bothersome to me; I can't STAND to sweat, and I HATE feeling uncomfortable!! I agree with Karla: when it's 1000 degrees outside, and we're melting in this Texas summer heat, winter doesn't sound too bad. I loved this one, Ed; bravo!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

"Ain't that a wild piece of thought sh*t"

You said it, Ed, not I - 'course, when the temperature outside is a 1,000 degrees, a little bit of winter suddenly doesn't look so bad! LOL Well done - and you tell me I complain. LOL

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.
