Too HOT for Rufuz (& ed)...

Ninety four degrees (34C)

Feels like One oh nine(43C)

Rufuz is starting in the a/c

To feel fine…

He likes to stay in the deep dirt

Under the house with the worms he does flirt

All that fur does help to keep him cool

Still when I opened the door

He scurried in, too bad we’ve not got a pool…

Dad doesn’t particularly either like the heat

Thought did he his pain would subside

Guess the doctor may have lied

My leg pain goes down to my feet

My brain as well in the sun got fried…

Summer's heat...a No No for me, too. I may be hibernating until October :o( RUF...are you scheduled for a haircut?? Think the kiddie pool would be cooler and more fun, if placed in the shade :o) You can always shake-off the water on Daddy to cool him down...LOL
Woof! Woof! and stay cool...{{{hugs}}} ~~ Micke

Too bad we've not got a pool - but it's very easy to get one, Bro. Get your butt down to a Wal-mart or a K-mart, and buy a plastic kiddy pool - they are quite cheap, and my dogs really love splashing around in them in the heat. (I even join them, when Mean Tall Woman ain't lookin!) A very cheap way to beat the summer heat.

I did a stupid thing Ed and Rufuz, thought I had put the a/c on for cat, left house at 8:00 a.m. came home and here I had put the heat on at 73 Degrees. Was on all day from 8 til 5:00 p.m. Now I am on air condition and it is cooling down. It's a wonder I did not suffocate my cat, but she is o.k. and eating her supper. Such a stupid thing, in this high heat too.

Come here and we can beat 94 easily! That's why people in the desert live inside for six months out of the year. After June, nothing under 100. I feel your pain.

Second line triggered a Beatles' number in me head: 'You say you're travelling on the one after nine oh nine'

Ah well, my brain has already been grilled this year.

No pool, Ed, but a rather large ocean out there for Rufus
to splash in. Liked the poem. Hope the pain goes away, - Gene.

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
