Beachcombing...

Poem Artwork

The storm did pass to the west,

Not enough wave action I guess,

Very little washed ashore,

Found a few coins, still I’m poor…J

 

Lots of seaweed & summer junk,

Plastic pails & shovels, toy army men,

Even some flip flops & someones bathing suit,

A pair of tennis balls, Rufuz did them love,

A daily beach tag from another town,

And a plastic bottle with some kind of black gunk…J

 

In all, it was a day of discovery,

Rufuz found a crab and tried to bite it,

Instead it did bite him, he was NOT happy,

Since he got home, he has been on the road to a speedy recovery…J

I love beachcombing and I must start making time for it and just plain going to the beach. Great images here.

Oh Rufuz, you darling, on that pier you make me fell like I am right there with you in the photo. wish I was there too. You are such a good doggie and your owner loves you and he is great too. Great write, here Ed. Loved it, you know I love the ocean and pictures of it. Rufuz makes it very special.

If only the coins were "pieces of eight".

Exploring is always fun. We use to make a list of items and go to the beach with the five kids and spend the day searching for the items on the list. Kept them busy and the fun was free. Thank you for sharing Ed hope Rufuz wasn't bitten too bad.

Poor Rufuz, biting off more than he can chew, and got chomped in the process! Poor baby. I'm sorry you didn't find a treasure. Keep searching, it's out there. Somewhere. A BATHING SUIT?!?? :eek: You are in my prayers, loves.

That black gunk in that discarded plastic bottle was probably Oil - Black Gold - the most coveted and looked for treasure on old Mother Earth today. Find about a zillion of those bottles - and you can buy that entire beach.

PPS If one of those coins you found was a dime, I think it's mine. I dropped it there years ago. Thanks. You can send it to me with your Christmas present.


PPPS Try selling that swimsuit you found on E-Bay. Just say it's Madonna's or Brittany's - you might make a fortune!
