Thank goodness for the thumb, Without it I might look pretty dumb, What would I suck on at stressful times, What would I write about here in rhymes… Thumbs are definitely for sucking, Opposable they are for a reason, Relaxes me while on the road trucking, If I was to suck my big toe, Would that be considered treason… Wish it had though more of a taste, Its almost a shame, almost a waste, Maybe before sucking it I could dip in in rum, Ah yes, the incredible, edible, opposable thumb… © ed 9/2008

Hmnn I must have been breast fed for I can think of at least two things I would rather suck on...oops thinking out loud sorry.

I used to suck my thumb until I about about 6 or 7 years old. It's a habit as that was hard to shake off. My daughter did the same thing too. She sucks 'til she was about 10!!!!!

I used to suck my thumb, did up until sixth grade, it was a comfort to me. It didn't make fun of me, it would listen when I talked to it...my teacher made me sit in front of the classroom, in front of all my classmates, who all laughed at me. Miss my thumbs...oh, they're still there (and yes, still talk to them). An excellent write. Well done, Ed.

Oh Ed you have me in stitches as I babysit my three year old grandson and he sucks his thumb all the time and I asked him if it tastes good, he says yes and tried to stick it in my mouth so I could taste it, cute Ed real cute. Thank you for the chuckle.
