Poem Artwork

Better than Dr. Phil,

Forget Oprah,

She doesn’t recommend a pill,

Cause hiding out behind her house,

Is her doctorin’ still…

She doesn’t carry a little black bag,

Just a bottle & a spoon,

Drink from the bottle says she,

Uses the spoon to hit the unruly,

She gets paid with chickens,

Never does she charge a fee…

House calls she will make,

Just better not complain of something fake,

That spoon has caused many a welt,

But after drinkin’ from the bottle,

The spoon I have hardly felt…

The best time to call,

Is after she’s made up a fresh batch,

To city doctors there is no match,

Ole’ Doc Bonnie can mostly be found,

Out behind her house, mixin’ in the corn from her patch,

To protect her from the revenuers she’s got an old howlin’ hound,

Named that dog she did, Satch…

You and Bonnie, cannot out do each other. Both have disastrous stories to tell and poems to write. I know you two are exceptional though in my sight.

Bonnie's gonna get you for that, once she's through rolling on the floor, howling with laughter: as I did, reading this. Well done, Ed!

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
