Please try to understand from the Jersey Devils point of view, Scare him all humans actually do...

Everyone says of the Jersey Devil, He is violent, eats cats, scares humans, In reality that is not totally true , He is actually quite friendly, just very shy… Yes maybe he has on a time or two, Scared a hiker, or scavenged trash, But so would you, when hunger overtakes you, And you cannot see straight & cannot find your stash… So please, treat this creature with friendship, I know the sight of him may frighten, Out of the Barrens very little does he trip, He does try so to keep track of humans, This does help him to stay enlightened… © ed [LOL] 10/10/08

Awwww...I will leave some choice morsels out for him tonight...I don't like to see anybody go hungry, not even a Jersey Devil.
