Snowfall in Las Vegas & Malibu, CA…

While they got snow, we get icicles...

Poem Artwork

Oh but I wish I could be there to see,

The thousands of drivers sliding into tree’s.

Spinning their wheels, and around spinning,

Oh my god, but a half inch of a dusting,

Stopped traffic, closed schools & the cops did less busting…

It may have melted fast away,

But initially it must have been a hell of a day,

Coldest temps in quite a long time,

Do homes in southern CA even have heating,

Maybe someone I should call, it seems worth a dime…

Snowfall in Vegas and close to inches four,

Oh my goodness but gamblers can’t get out the door,

Forced they are to spend more time losing their dough,

While the snow did fall, they could bet on how much it would grow…

It must be hilarioius to see this happen, I know in Vancouver which very seldoms has snow either when they had their first real snow a few years back a lot of roofs collapsed because they were just not built strong enough.

It must have been really something to see tho.... In fact, yesterday we drove from Phx to Laughlin...and you know Laughlin/Bullhead is one of the HOTTEST cities in America...well....it snowed fast and furious on our way down here....I took umpteen photos and saw the drivers in ditches etc...I was amazed as I've lived down this way many years off and on....always had to go to Flagstaff or to the White mountains...this time it was here in hot country.... so much for seasons..right! Cute poem too. hugs and stay warm... lindalaw

I know this will make you happy, first snow ever just 20 minutes from me;-) we are all amazed...bitter cold here for us 32% go ahead laugh...most of us only have heat in one room that usually heats every room, since we never need it. However, we sure could use it if this keeps up too long, I'll have to get a space heater for the bedroom;-)or sleep in the living room.

Merry Christmas with love,
Eileen
