...another example of Mr. Murphy's Law...

Poem Artwork

Snow we’ve had recently,

Pretty good amounts,

Came down decently,

Stayed on the ground,

Frozen all around...

The last few days,

A thaw we’ve had,

No more snow left,

Only mud, looked really sad…

So on Wednesday it got up to sixty-five,

Got me to feelin’ so much more alive,

So out I went to wash the old car,

Got it lookin’ pretty damn good too,

Sparkled almost like a real star…

Nothing was in the forecast,

No snow, no rain, no wind,

Till after I washed the Jeep,

Tonight for an hour it poured,

Fair it ain’t, wouldn’t ya just know it…?

Your satirical look at Murphy's Law is lighthearted fun with a powerful point. I like your straight forward style. Look forward to more....

I have to laugh, because JOe just left with my Mitzu SUV as he is always "washing" our vehicles.... It's sunshine here; however...the last 3 days we had RAIN... so... as soon as the sun was back out, JOe grabbed my keys and off he went!! Your Jeep is nice and Rufuz is so beautiful.... enjoy the sunshine! hugs, lindalaw

There's a saying here, in Texas, anyway: if you want rain, wash the car. :) It'll come. LOL Well done, Ed.

ED - good ole MURPHY - "DIVIL A BIT" - Irish colloquial slang - kind of a "I don't believe you."

and guess what divil backwards spells? LIVID ... you with a wet shiny JEEP!

Ed,

A sure way to get it to rain is wash your car. I guess you know that. We get very little rain where I live, but wash your car, voila!
Thanks for the laugh.

"Wouldn't ya just know it...?" LOL-oh I hear that!

Murphy's Law when it comes to sharpie permanent markers:

Mr. Black Sharpie will not come out of clothes completely...yep it is called permanent marker for a reason!!!
But them black jeans (or whatever) that I accidently splashed a little bleach on & inturn I dolloped some Mr. Sharpie permanent ink to fill the bleached spot washes right out.....go figure that Murphy's Law!!

Seems like that's the way it goes sometimes, doesn't it? But spring is just around the corner...at least that's what I keep telling myself!
