I can’t read in metaphor, let alone write…

...or maybe assinine ranting of a philosophy not yet realized...

Poem Artwork

Hell, I don’t even know how to start,

This write about me a big part,

I understand the “metaphorian” concept,

Like most men though I only seem to understand,

That which does directly or otherwise, get me erect…

I am not here to put men down,

As afterall, I am one, doesn’t that kinda make ya frown,

Before I rant on into unexplainable dribble, allow me to stop,

And get on with what this rant was initially about…

Damn herb, but it does so make me forgetful,

Welcome to my poem, won’t you sit down,

Will you have something to drink,

While over your eyes I do of the wool pull,

And act like the person you know so well,

The man with the upside down frown, known lovingly as Ed the clown…

I gonna throw at you a few "jejune verbiages" (got them from Cynthia)

Edvard(k) Jejune Verbiages Sharpshooter Elder

I like this poem because it is honest and lighthearted, and not pretentious. I think as long as readers enjoy a poem, learn something or feel enjoyment from reading it, complicated forms such as simile and metaphor, analogy whatever, are not important as long as the message gets across and does not get lost in the maze of jejune verbiage.(yuk!)

Nice cartoon too-
Cynthia
