Life as a vine...

Another weird dream
Stretched to its extreme

Poem Artwork

You’re vegetating,

Vines are growing over you,

Only your eyes are clear, though unfocused,

Tunnel vision you got, only your screen you see,

No longer do you eat, once in awhile a cup of tea…

Your mate does once a week water you,

Your dog does over your leg lift his,

Your cat likes to climb your vine,

No words do you anymore speak,

On your vines grapes do grow,

From a positive perspective, you make a great wine…

Your hand attached permanently to the mouse,

The only exercise you get, but you don’t grouse,

All life’s functions beyond your control,

If you experience spontaneous combustion,

Watering you as well, your spouse will of you douse…

I think we all feel this way sometimes, the attachment we have to our electronic lifes is often stronger and sadly better than the joy of reality.

Hi Ed, there is a vine in my office, no matter how much I water it, it never grows. It stays green, though. It acts like a fake plant! I think it's because it's the only plant in the building. I think vines need other plants to thrive.... I haven't tried to fertilize it though... wonder why i didn't think of that.... :)

The only vine I ever saw was the one Tarzan was hanging from over a pool full of hungry crocodiles, didn't stay to see, I was in a hurry.

Some more than others :)
