Yes, to the beach I went this day,

Soaking up as much I could the suns rays,

A slight breeze off the ocean from the southeast,

As well did form just a bit of a mist,

But no one can say that I of the ocean this weekend missed…

The ocean was as well quite cold,

The air was in the low to mid 80’s,

To stick ones foot in the rising tide,

Made you open your mouth & eyes quite wide…

Still, while it was a short trip,

Enjoyed myself quite a lot,

Came home earlier to imbibe in some pot,

To the rest of you who couldn’t to sea go,

Live with it & daydream,

At the very least, get on yourself, a grip…
