Evacuation humor...?

told to evacuate

told to go to someones house & wait

told them I did, all my someones live near the beach

told then to stay in my camper

all shelters are full

what good is having a shelter

if it is full two full days before its needed

what are they doing, taking reservations?

giggle....although this is really a sad state of affairs, I'm glad to see you still have your sense of humour! Irene is pounding our city with heavy winds right now....lots of power outages, but no one hurt...so far...

Thank you all for your input but going anywhere without money is kind of hard...I have gas in the car so I "can" go if needed but again where do I go...Ed

Ed, take it from one who has been through 3 direct hits and the outskirts of Andrew, you need to take this storm seriously. Pack your shit and head inland. NOW!!! ...and even then you may be too late, the roads will be jammed, if they aren't already. On second thought, don't take the time to pack.... it's only stuff,,,, just take that camper and go. Go to a hotel in Bergen County, get out of there, look up pet friendly hotels, take your puppy, take your pc, and a change of underware....just move yourself out of there!!!!!!
