I used to eat them a lot,

Then one day they helped me to get fat,

My sugar did then as well raise,

I always thought of myself as one who did graze…

No longer now can I of them eat,

Glad I was not addicted to their taste,

Better really to keep being a carnivore,

And just partake of all kinds of meat…

So we bid a fond fare the well to Twinkies,

As we go off in another direction playing with our slinky’s,

No longer can we with the cream get kinky,

For in future that cream will really go bad and get stinky…J

I once read that Twinkies will never go bad. Ever. I shudder to imagine what they really will do to our bodies, the ones we consumed as children! Enjoyed this one, made me laugh. Thanks!

Deep in their interiors there was some kind of plastic? I sure enjoyed that sugar cake kick and spongy soft gooey whatever covering this you can squeeze to improve your squeeze. All the products have their day in the S-curve of business. They will be missed, but so will we all.

Anyway, I'm glad you're off them. Otherwise you'd be paying high prices on the black market to get unhealthy. ;-)

:) !!
I was never a big Twinky fan, but sweets--? Oh, my.
I recently made the mistake of buying Kraft caramels to see if they were are good as I remembered. On the way to the dentist now. . .
That's a joke, but I ate way too many way too fast. Ray [hubby] is the type can stop at two or three. Grrrrrr.

This is fun, and it is bound to strike a chord with a lot of folks.
Too many goodies everywhere you look!!

Humankind do not live on celery and kale alone.

{That's livin'???}

...just remembered. I made Ray a banana cake from scratch, and there's still some left...uh, oh, I hear him ratting around in the kitchen. Better hurry....

Ha ha ha, well I used to eat them...
Tasty little morsels, but never hooked on them...
They seem to be the topic in news and media now...

I'm sure other tasty little treats will replace the
memory of them...but Ho Ho's Zingers Ding Dong's and Suzy Q's are also
hard to find...

I think what's most disturbing more than the loss of these
little tasty treats is over 18,500 people are going to be laid off
as Hostess closes down plants... Now that's disturbing...

Love your writes as always

Yup! Still have my slinky, and etch-a-sketch, bubba, but good riddance to those cholesterol depositing, gut bomb, adipose tube cakes. Good to see your humor is still intact.

Damn it. Now you tell me. Me and Mean Tall Woman just got you a couple of cases of Twinkies for Christmas. We found them at an old government warehouse where they store all the old cheese. Both Twinkies and government cheese have a shelf life of about 100 years. Now what the hell are we gonna do with two cases of 50-year old Twinkies?? I'm probably gonna send them to you anyway - even my mutts won't eat those things.
