In speaking with the car...

...picture of a car similar to my dads car, tossed aside a LONG time ago...

Poem Artwork

U humans seem to think,

That little dents don’t really hurt,

And the ones you call damaged are worse,

But its all the same to me,

Even a little scratch makes me painfully hurt…

When my tires are low on air,

I am sluggish & you don’t seem to care,

I squeal around corners & I scream it ain’t fair,

But when air you do put in,

My tires can down the road freely spin…

We do travel together & warm I keep you,

Sometimes my A/C does turn you blue,

But do I ever complain, I run hot,

But I don’t complain, never, not,

Then when I break down,

You throw me aside,

You go out and buy a cute little foreign job,

And forget me altogether, after from me my youth you did rob…J

If you think we now mistreat our cars, you should look around and see how we now mistreat our once cherished pets.

Remember that program, " My mother the car, " she talked to her son.
Very cute, Ed.

My father was famous for throwing them away. That looks like Chrysler 300. I kicked myself for not buying a Chrysler 300C back in 1968 with that land speed record look in eggshell white with beige leather interior for the measly sum of $1295. Today, that car with its hemi engine would be worth at least $200,000! I kept my last car for twenty years and put 300,000 miles on it and kept it in good running and body shape.

That's O.K.. Every once in awhile, I pat my dashboard and tell the car, "Be good to me, honey!"

Love ya!
