A dear friend of mine who was raised up on the north coast here with me but moved to Florida 30 years ago said that New York is hotter than south Florida in the summer.
Why when I was a kid in the Bronx you could fry eggs the ground was so hot. Now that I'm on an island where in the shade it was 96 degrees and heat index over 100.
