The dog next door...

...musing, ranting & rambling with & without sanity...


Poem Artwork

Knows my schedule probably better than me’z,

She barks on the dot of five,

Waking me from my afternoon slumber,

Next it’s a short ten minute walk,

Then in my fantastical world,

I do swing from the branches in the trees,

On imaginary vines,

And write a lot of nonsensical rhyming (sometimes) lines…J

 

I pass the roach to my imaginary friend,

And have to wonder again what it’s like in the end,

Will I ever actually see mom & dad again,

Will the light refracting from Mars,

Ever show me a UFO flying here from the stars…J

 

At a loss I may be of my mental faculties,

Will the world die for the lack of bees,

Why is it I can never find my keys,

Wish I had to eat some thinly sliced cheese,

Better yet some drugs to eradicate this insanity, please…J

Several of us are waiting on that drug; the only one that helps as all is illegal.
Though Eric Holder is trying,
In Texas there still is no buying.
Your license they do take away
Even though it keeps the demons at bay.
