...a frightful experience...

Poem Artwork

Went to Shop Rite tonight,

Went to buy milk & bread,

Came out after spending many a buck,

It’s their fault displaying all those tasty treats,

Don’t you think that advertisements suck…?

Went for milk & bread,  ended up spending 88 dollars,

With me someone should attach to my neck a leash & collar,

Stay in the milk & bread aisle Ed,

Don’t go looking for anything else,

Or when I get you home you won’t get fed…J

Oh well I now got food to last awhile,

Only had to drive to get there 4 miles,

Home now with lots to eat & drink,

And my refrigerator is working hard to get it all cold,

You see my fridge is, like its owner, getting quite old…J

Ed, You got me laughing again...the stores know where to put
certain items, impulse shopping, and it works.

Always,

Deborah

What's really good is that your credit card is still working. Unfortunately, that credit may be on a short life span as well… or at least getting old.

The next time that you go shopping, please pick up two cases of beer - one for me and one for old Cuz Cur. And you really should get dear old Ma some flowers and candy. Thanks.

A funny poetic tale that's also very true! If I want to shop for milk and eggs I try to find something that would compliment the pair. Otherwise I am all over the store buying stuff everywhere! LOL

enjoyed the read, think we all tend to go for 1 item or 2 and come home with 26.

Alright, one more time now. Never go to the store hungry. Of course you know the only crime here is, the price of the food. Good old inflation makes sure you spend ever-increasing amounts of money, for ever-decreasing amounts of food. Just me and the wife and we never get away without spending a hundred or more.

But wait a minute. If you got lots to eat, how much does it take? But how long will it take till you run out again? Damn! Are my calculations off again? Hey! We all gotta eat. Funny write Ed. Bob
