Poem Artwork

Lip smackin’ good,
Full of benefits, eat it you should,
Creamed meat for those with no teeth,
Found it I did underneath my outside wreath…

For a side dish we got sweet taters,
Soaked and swimming in a coon fat gravy,
All prime meat, not like ya git from them gators…

Always do I look forward to this meal,
Afterwards I intend to of leftovers steal,
I can eat for a month on just one can,
The grease alone from the dripping pan,
Makes a perfect gravy when down the road,
You pick up some road kill, best used on a tire squished eel…

I think I've lost my appetite, Ed. But I do appreciate your sense of humor. Love and peace,

Sheesh. For some reason, bubba, this reminded me of Halloween with the infamous Lord Incubus - Georg Mateos. I remember his horrid menu at the Swedish castle that year: blood meatballs and eels and half-squished eyeballs marinara.

Tire squashed eels! Now that's a treat! Don't believe I've ever seen any, but I did see a lot of gators looking like tires along the road to Cape Canaveral one time. And I've seen plenty of squashed turtles for a lifetime along with armadillos here in Texas. But the tastiest of all, you forget, is skunk stew. You have to have a strong constitution, once you get past the smell, it's wonderful, doesn't taste a bit like chicken.

Did you lose your teeth - again? I'm gonna have to tell Ma - again.

PS: Put up 'Lost Teeth Flyers' all around your neighborhood - this often helps get lost dogs back home - might work for your teeth!
