So, it’s the first of the new year,
And there is nothing, I think, that I need to fear,
As for bills for right now I am in the clear,
Still I am living quite austere…

By the change in the year I was asleep,
In the dream world I was quite deep,
On a hill in my own jeep,
The hill was quite altogether steep…

I had no reason to be awake,
Did not want to see the ball fall,
Did not care to hear the world scream Happy New Year,
Happy on my steep hill, in my jeep, that I had disk brakes…
