Getting into my zone,
By reading a book,
Out of the real world in general,
Into my zone of fantasy,
Where pain of the past,
Doesn’t so long last,
Where I don’t need my wine,
To forget or to otherwise whine…
Books tend to put me into another zone,
Someone else’s fantasy becomes, for a time, my reality,
Do I feel better in this other zone,
That’s to be decided after there I get blown,
My partner too young, but in the end we both do moan…
As for me, I'm in the F**king Dead zone. I am mesmerized and find that my blood pressure and anxiety increases every time a bunch of those mindless idiotic aberrations tries to bite one of the key cast members, who are dying left and right just when you get to know them.
Since I can't read books very well, I find myself catching up with many very good TV dramas that are serialized online, on-demand. Except for the damn commercials, one can zone out on these great series ranging from Breaking Bad, Freak Show: An American Horror Story, Hell on Wheels, Mad Men, Vikings, Halt and Catch Fire, Helix, Just Call Saul and many more… Too many to watch.
And finally, your favorite, Ed, The Last Man on Earth… It's right up your alley!
