Lack of civility...

Under the kitchen sink he lurks,
He is pretty for the most part grumpy,
Not much sleep does he get so, grouchy he is in the morning,
If you do awaken him I give you warning,
He will make loud noises & at you growl,
Left unfed he does have a tendency to smell quite foul…

Though when fed he eats anything,
Then after eating his voice does in pleasure howl,
He can at times squeal with a sound of delight,
But don’t stick your hand near him, as he will eat it on sight…

I feed him table scraps,
He takes them from me with little grace,
He tears them apart, in his teeth he does them embrace,
He has a name but it is not one of nobility,
His parents named him Garbage Disposal,
And with that cognomen you can understand, I would think,
His total lack of civility…

till there were no blades to chew.

This is a good one, a great allegory for the garbage disposal representing the alter ego of the Jersey Devil. Brilliant!
