Damn, it got hot in a hurry around here...as well I am getting hot...

Poem Artwork

The school bus went by,
The heat is getting high,
I wanna take a walk,
Or on my bike ride,
The sun does of me stalk…

Wish I was at the beach again,
Ten degrees cooler & the ocean comfortable,
Sure there are a lot of visitors,
But that I can handle if I try hard,
I mean afterall, I am not the grand royal inquisitor…

But will have to hold out till Sunday,
Rene and I going to a function,
I’d rather stay at home with her,
And allow her to attend to some of my more “personal” malfunctions…(sort of)

When I rode my bicycle 20-30 miles a day in south Georgia, not so long ago mind you, I had to beat the sunrise or I was screwed. But I never had to fry an egg in my shorts.

For an air conditioner,
My kingdom I'd sell.
They say it's not the heat, it's the humidity,
But it's still hot as hell.

Thank God for air conditioning. Don't know how I lived without it in the 1930's. But as a kid, heat didn't bother me as much as now.
Never was bothered by the crowds at the beach. I was in the water most of the time.

You have the heat, as well we do down here, but we also have sundry thunderstorms and just plain rain to cool things off. In fact it is raining like hell as I write this.
