He does to dogs, talk,
In rain storms he goes for a walk,
The north woods his second home,
Takes dogs with him when there he does roam...
---------------------------------------

Poem Artwork

A dog talker he is, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a dog, of course,
That is, of course, unless that dog talking man is the famous Mr. Ed…

Go right to the source and ask the dog guy,
He’ll give you the answer & you know why,
Because he always has a steady sigh,
So talk if you wish to Mr. Ed, that’s why…

People yakkity-yak a streak & waste time all day,
But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say,
And when he speaks, you can’t get him to shut up, NO WAY…

A dog talker is a dog talker of course, of course,
And this one will talk till his voice is hoarse,
There is no such a thing as a talking horse,
But this dog of a guy does his talking to dogs,
They answer him with a growl and a bark,
This dog talker may be with humanity at odds,
But to all dogs in general he gives positive nods…

Now that you've run roughshod over good master Ed, it's time you received your comeuppance.

I would sure hate to get on the telephone line with you because you'd probably talk my ear right off. I would need a crowbar to get a word in edgewise. As for talking to dogs, Rufus didn't even understand you. Otherwise he wouldn't of gone out and got trouble in the neighborhood like a spoiled child. I think you fed him too many hamburgers instead of real dog food.

Anyway, check your own tea leaves before you mess with others. ;-)

Wow - are you feeling all right?? Normally you like to slam me, and this piece is a compliment - I think!

"This dog talker may be with humanity at odds,
But to all dogs in general, he gives positive nods."

So very true, and this Dog Talker talks to Cats and to Wild Critters, too. So thanks for this, Bro.

PS: I've been called Mr. Ed for a very long time now - even many vets in VA Hospitals called me that. "Where's that Mr. Ed guy? I wanna talk to him, because he listens."

Zoe and I converse each and every day, Ed, not as profoundly as do Mr. ED and his dogs probably, but we manage to get through to each other. Like Mr. ED, I am positive when it comes to dogs.
