In the day I cannot write,
Have to wait till late in the night,
Too much noise is a bother,
Wish I could talk with my father…
Of life I do spurn,
I hate to be stern,
But to write I need,
A modicum of quiet,
I don’t like where I live,
Too many a NOISY brat,
I wish they all would just scat…
Lots of advice here. I'll just add to it by saying that I hope you get your wish to be able to move to a quiet place where there are a lot of elderly people that can't hear you because their hearing is also going bad. ;-)
My daughter learned early on how to stop me cold with my complaints. She would just look at me with a curious look on her face and ask "Are we whining?" I've been quiet for a long time.
Get some ear muff like things that they wear in factories........just kidding. Some people are more irritated by noise during the day as they need quiet time. As for me? I AM noise.
Even when you were at the campground, you found things which upset you, Ed. An old saying which pretty much holds true. "Life is a bitch, then you die."
I wish you could go back too - You were happier there. Unfortunately life moves on whether we like it or not ...as mine will, suddenly and out of the blue - It's just a matter of time.
