A shot at humor for a change...

Poem Artwork

I awoke in a fright,
Realizing right away it wasn’t light,
A quick study I am in that way,
In my mirror was a horrible sight,
Its hair all disheveled with big boobs,
And it had disgustingly hairy pubes…

From whence it came I know not,
Am I still dreaming or high on pot,
I lay there sweating on my cot,
It seemed to be lying down,
But as well it seemed to be in a squat…

Oh my goodness, it can’t really be,
Am I going further insane at what I see,
It might be a living incarnate of a banshee,
On closer inspection after turning on the light,
It turned out to be a reflection of just me, oops.

They say laughter is the best medicine; if that is so, you have dispensed some here, Ed. By the way, I invite you to read my latest poem, posted some time back. It is about one of my favorite gals. Love and peace,

Regis

You is the living incarnation of Alley Oop's caricature, my friend. ;-) Either that or you have one foot in the Bigfoot and the other in the Devil (Jersey, that is).

OOP's indeed Ed. I used to have those kind of dreams when I drank rot gut gin . . .

Oh my, what a horribly disgusting sight! It's a wonder it didn't drive you all the way to sanity. Before that banshee returns, please be sure to get some tar on all of those reflective surfaces! What's a banshee? Cute write, Ed.
