Gotta wonder what keeps her running,
Bailing wire and duct tape,
Covered by night under her own cape,
During the day she can be caught sunning…
Air conditioning quite cold when in need,
For a V-6, quite fast, when filled with its seed,
Able to leap tall speed bumps in a single bound,
It’s sometimes hard it seems to keep her on the ground…
She appears to still be in pretty good shape to me. And I like the comparison you made between her and Superman...able to leap tall speed bumps in a single bound. My brother once had a Honda Accord. He had 212,000 miles on her when he sold the ol' gal. I don't know if she's still living or not. I'd say she isn't, but you never know. They used to make 'em to last.

My tenant as a 1992 Accord she bought new. It uses a little oil, but otherwise gets her to work every day. She just got the AC fixed with used parts for under $200. Sure helps in the heat of Houston afternoons.
