It’s 3am and I can’t sleep so gonna take a few minutes to write a poem that rhymes…try not to be too bored!

Poem Artwork

Sitting here in my Earth Roamer,

Trying to eat my just dessert,

Would rather be a beach comber,

But I am stuck here in the middle of this desert…

Haven’t got anything to do but make this story rhyme,

So you have to put up with me for the being time,

The time of day is early in the morning,

And I am here to give you a hasty warning…

I find myself this early quite discombobulated,

But at least I am not inarticulated,

Though I don’t think that is a real word,

But I think you can live with it without the whole thing becoming quite absurd…

Oh I forgot to give you the hasty warning,

To be honest I don’t have one without into my psyche we go exploring,

And trust me we don’t want to do that, NO, I don’t want to, I am of you imploring,

So I think I should end this one here before I get for you quite boring.

I like your play on words-I do that often myself

You have a unique way of moving words around in a sentence to get them rhyming. Perhaps you are starting a new form of poetry. That may be your legacy.

Otherwise whatever keeps your mind occupied when you can't sleep in the middle of the night is all right with me… Go for it!

I am also at my best in the wee small hours. And when I am finished, I start writing. So we are Eds of a feather, in all kinds of weather, sort of.

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
