Pot"

Does this really need an introduction?

                 “POT”

No, this is not the pot you sit on,

          To take a dump,

And not the pot to cook,

 Your potatoes without lumps.

 But the type you smoke,

OH MY! Did he say smoke?

          Not legal in the states,

         But wouldn’t it be great?!

But afraid that isn’t our fate!

If legal in the states, it starts,

Would take away the fun parts,

Like going out and finding it,

         Then haggling on a price,

And making sure you got the right “slice”.

          Don’t forget the wraps,

Or in my case, the pipe,

Actually it doesn’t seem to matter,

As long as you don’t drop it and to the wind it scatters…

(((ED)))

I love this write, too, especially the opening lines! Man, talk about a way to HOOK someone...LOL

I admit I smoked pot, too (BUT ONLY ONCE!), but all IT did for me was make me dizzy and goofy, and also very hungry! It also messed with my mind; at the time I had the pot, I was listening to some Cajun music, and I heard EVERY instrument INDIVIDUALLY. It was really pretty! LOL All I could do was sit there, with a stupid smile on my face, and I am sure my eyes looked glazed, too! But EVER since that time, I have NOT smoked pot EVER again, and I WON'T! Have ENOUGH trouble walking when I am SOBER, WHY mix POT to the mix?? LOL I'd be a MAJOR MESS, that is for DAMN sure! LOL

But SERIOUSLY, though..yes, it WOULD be great if they could legalize pot for those who live with crippling intractable pain where they can't get ANY relief, no matter WHAT is given to them! That must be one HELL of a way to live; I say GIVE 'EM POT, just so they can have SOME relief from their godawful pain!!! Sooo sad how people have to suffer....my hearts go out to them! My pain is great, but it is NOTHING compared to what these poor souls with intractable pain have to go through!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Texas, Karen Lynn. :(

i love it--the write, not pot :) smoked it once a looooooooooooong time ago all it did was make me wanna go to sleep

come to think of it, i don't sleep too good anymore LOL naaaaah...better behave myself LOL

yeah, it would be great if we could legalize it for those with medical conditions that leave one in pain or for those who can't keep anything on their stomachs, due to intractable nausea. but no, they have to suffer

((((HUGS)))) and love,

karla. :)
