Another Mouse Bites the Dust...not what you think

Note: no animals (mice) were injured or killed as a result of the writing of this poem, it is purely fictional, per se...LOL

(A fractured fairy tale from the archives of
                          -zEd-)

Another “Mouse” Bites the Dust…

Frustrating is life with a computer,

But so it is without,

So take heed from this short poem,

Rubber mallets and computers don’t mix.

Once upon a time,

There came a computer,

Into the life of zEd it made its debut,

zEd was all happy and started right away to write,

And for a long time, zEd & his machine were compatible,

They spent long hours of Iming & Emailing,

Enjoying each others company on a large scale,

No thoughts for zEd regarding resale.

Then came a day,

When the mouse’ ball,

He only had one,

Poor guy,

But he should have lost them all.

Anyway, the ball became stuck, sort of,

zEd couldn’t get the damn thing to move the arrow,

As he found out, the ball needed cleaning,

Wish zEd found that out before he got housecleaning,

zEd was leaning to be well meaning with the ball,

But the mouse came apart,

And with zEd’s lack of smart,

He got so upset,

That with the rubber mallet,

He did take out his anger on the part.

Well, suffice to say, zEd has this info to impart,

When using a mouse in the classical way,

Be sure to keep it clean,

As banging it on the table,

Or shaking it as much as is able,

Does little to make it workable.

Better to buy,

An electronic mouse,

The mouse will feel better,

As will its user,

Especially, as it will always work and keep its insides, inside!

Not out on the table where it is incapable of working most able…

I've been thinking about taking a rubber mallet to my hard drive--lately I've been spending an enormous amount of time just trying to get the Internet to come up. I got my computer at the auction for $90. Now I know why the previous owner wanted to get rid of it!!
