More craziness from the "id" of ed...A humorous look at our brains, well at least mine...as I can't say what yours looks like...ed

Clearing Away the Dust…

My mind is an attracter of dust,

Much like those special mops,

It attracts dust as well,

As the screen of a TV or computer,

When this happens, is it a must?

I know that smoking herb,

Is supposed to make the brain into a pile of blurb,

But is that all it is, these memory problems?

Or is it the advance of age that promotes this disturb?

I sometimes find myself, when writing,

On the absolute edge of superb,

But at other times, damn, I can’t even get out a single word!

Is it cause I am almost fifty?

I can’t imagine,

As otherwise I almost feel nifty,

My memory does sometime stray,

And yes I may attribute it to the above facts,

I mean I only take a little whiff,

To help me feel a little stiff,

Got to admit however, that that little whiff,

Has contributed quite a bit, to my widening midriff.

Okay, all this worry aside,

Am I changing myself inside?

And does it show as much as my outside?

Only, I believe, if I allow it to show,

As, for the most part, I enjoy being seen,

As a bit of a “dead” head,

Or is it a brain that is dusty,

Or a cranial that is musty,

Or maybe, to end this rhyme,

A frontal lobe that is crusty.

See me, as you will,

If I make you laugh,

That is all there is, till,

The next little ditty finds it’s way through,

The dust & crust of my lobotomized cranial cavity…

Well Ed, I'm 46 and postmenopausal, and I've heard that that contributes to being scatterbrained. I've heard that men go through male menopause, but I'd just have to say that when one starts aging their brain cells start dying. But you are so prolific that I don't think your brain cells are dying.

Clever. I think your brain's working just fine.
Best regards,

The Wholly Book of Genesis by Jay Dubya

The Wholly Book of Genesis is a humorous satire on the first book of the Old Testament where the Story of Creation, the building of Noah's Ark, Sodom and Gomorrah and the families of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob are thoroughly spoofed and broadsided.
