Two Days to Christmas…

2 days to Christmas,

And all I got to look forward to,

Is going in to work,

My boss, the jerk, thinks it’s funny,

To make his minions work,

Like over-taxed, baby makin’ bunnies.

But really I don’t mind,

I don’t do much on Christmas anyway,

Well, maybe I do, just a bit, whine,

Cause I know I haven’t got anyone,

To actually spend the day with,

Except Rufuz, and he is, after all, a hon.

Rene will spend Christmas with her family,

They don’t seem to want to meet me,

As I don’t have enough money for them,

But they can’t take it with them,

So they can have their money, honey.

Rufuz and I will go to the beach,

To chase the seagulls & inhale the fresh salt air,

It may not seem to some to be quite fair,

But Rufuz and I enjoy each others company,

I mean we don’t get into each other’s hair,

We just enjoy the time we got, down there,

No matter if it is a holiday or not.

We will think of you when we are playing on the beach,

As without a cell phone or like that, we will be out of reach,

But the best thing, is the privacy & solitude, there,

Maybe I can get a few poems out of that trip, to share,

Keep watching for them & who knows,

Maybe there will be one that you find,

That makes your day,

As I will be happy to do so,

Oh and Merry Christmas & Happy New Year,
