Christmas Night…

Christmas night,

Oh what a fright,

The leftovers,

The dirty dishes,

The present wrappings,

The kids,

The noise,

Trying to get rid of the family,

Without seeming to be nasty,

Oh, what a lousy task.

Just so glad I did Christmas alone,

Rufuz being my only guest,

And he takes what he can get,

Be that dog food or a nice juicy bone,

Or the dinner from the neighbors home.

Hope you all had a fun day,

Got from Santa whatever it was you asked for,

Hope none of it was at all a bore,

But definitely better than I did on that score…
