Black Sheep of the Family...

Familial humor is the best, don't you think?

Black Sheep of the Family…

        For me,

A self-proclaimed title,

Of little consequence,

Unless I allow it to be,

Can you not, this, see?

No parents,

Nor brothers or sisters,

To crown me with this title,

Cousins don’t seem to count,

As they don’t too much, amount.

I have found in my travels,

Through life, my mind and the world,

That what one feels about themselves,

Is the key to their ultimate survival,

So as not to be here, sub littoral,

I will end this little poem,

And so must you know,

I try not to cause, anymore, mayhem,

Nor do I condemn,

Any, who do, as I am, in then end,

The crème de le crème,

Of the society I am part of and portend…

Ed,

This poem made me smile. ;) Silver

PS...being up in north of Boston, I truly understand why you may not be a champion of winter....but the falling snow is peaceful while it comes down. ;)

I'm with Floria. I have also come from a large family, but to be quite honest, I'm quite alone. The competition was just too great, parents are never satisfied, and we, the children aren't always happy. Real sad indeed!

Great thought-provoking write, Ed!
