Yes its been cold of late, but we are in a bit of a thaw right now, temps in the 40s are better than temps in the teens...
The Cold…
(ed)
The cold,
I am told,
Has met it match,
In warmer winds from the southwest,
But will return with a vengeance,
Later this week,
Bringing with it a modicum amount of snow.
But for now, Rufuz and I can relax,
Not, for me, wearing slacks,
Sweat shirts are optional,
And socks to bed are not allowed,
For now, I can keep warm without,
Overflowing in clothes,
That is without doubt…
Really need a mid-winter thaw,
Temps not to high, maybe in the 60’s,
But with that thaw,
Comes the chance to sleep in the raw,
Rather than piling on blankets,
Sweat clothes and all.
But for now I will live with temps in the 40’s,
If that is all we can get,
I will take without complaint,
I will try to be a saint,
And accept the weather as the man upstairs sends it,
But please, oh man upstairs, please keep us warmer,
That would be my statement of intent I think...

Nice Ed....actually I would wish it to be 70% every single day....I would be very happy with that type weather....I am cold now too...but ahhhh....I love how the white snow looks....fool that I am...blessings to you....floria
talked to daddy in ohio last night, he said they warmed up to 34 degrees--i told him to break out the shorts LOL
i complain about the cold, but then remember daddy saying, "there's no place as cold as korea"--he about froze to death out there, no real clothing or shelter
naaaaah, i can live with it, even though i pitch a wall eyed hissy about it :)
