Eats...

Love to eat sweets, they are such a treat, as Rufuz agrees, he likes them and says they are so neat...

                Eats…

I find that I cannot eat beets,

Their taste is not up to my love of treats.

Also, I cannot eat that of peat,

Used for the grass, as does my friend Pete.

When I really get hungry, I go for the meat,

Steak, hot dogs, chicken, veal, even parakeet,

But not very often on the last one.

Parakeet, you ask? Oh my, that you would have to delete,

But think of it cooked over an open fire smoked with mesquite.

We already know that my brain is that of mincemeat,

So you have to understand, this writer is often in his own way deplete.

Back to the subject, as usual most offbeat,

Anything I can eat, but it will have to be at least, sweet.

So that will delete any chance of my eating wheat,

So boring, no taste, certainly not as tasty as that of crabmeat.

So let me here complete,

Prior to my becoming less than totally discrete…

when I told my parrots to quiet down or I would roast them, they would become quiet. Smart birds. So I never got to taste them. Fun write! :-)

Ed;

I liked the cooking a parakeet over an open fire smoked with mesquite, especially when the bird itself can tell you when it is done.
