Rufuz? A retriever?!

Beaver Cleaver,

A name from the past,

If there are others that rhyme,

I know not, as with time I am not fast.

Of late I have become a believer,

   In the past an underachiever.

I have used the herb as a stress reliever,

But know well its effects are short lived,

       Only that of a deceiver.

Rufuz is a dog, of fetching characteristics,

He doesn’t have to know that he is not a retriever.

So before I make out of you a disbeliever,

That I actually had talent to write at one time,

Let me end this here & use the word that matches, rhyme…    (ed)
