Speaking of the Bush family...

Not sure what brought this one on nor if it means anything? You be the judge...

let me be your guide,

through a world so snide,

and completely tied,

awaiting that of the perfect tide…

have I lied?

or not tried,

to be completely truthful,

with those of you I have plied,

with my knowledge of certain sciences,

that have been considered applied…

I will have to my time, bide,

and eventually just hide,

on the blindside of those I guide,

through the outermost reaches,

of that same world so well named above…

wish I could write something,

that leaves in the house, not a dry-eye,

but alas, my poetry seems to glide,

in the direction,

of the preposterous & humorous,

both of which I seem to do so well,

even though I am mostly googley-eyed…

Not in the least am I to be found committing homicide,

also I do not see myself doing the patricide thing,

and having been caught in the riptides of life, this long,

you may find me a bit more than under qualified,

or quite possibly preoccupied,

and sometimes dissatisfied,

with the winter-tide, so far as it stands,

so tired of the cold and unable to abide,

any more future nationwide Jekyll and Hides…

Another humorous gem in the Matlackian style (or Rufuzian as well perhaps). Thanks for this offering, Ed. Love and peace. Regis
