Positive Pressure...

I am never to grace the table again, I am told...

POSITIVE PRESSURE…

To burp or fart at some tables,

in a certain part of the world,

is considered a positive for a meal well done,

I hope here I am not speaking in fables?

but this is what I have heard,

to burp after having the bird,

tells the cook they are not absurd.

But to do so in our world of today,

boy, you would think  you have to say,

that of an apology in anyway,

for it is taken as a disgusting example,

of non-manners & not looked upon,

with any whatsoever, favor.

So, if I am ever to grace the table of a friend again,

I had best learn to curb my internal organs,

from releasing the pressure brought on by a good meal,

EVEN THOUGH, FOR SOME IT IS, A POSITIVE THING, YES, A GOOD DEAL…

Ed--you know you can come back any time! Enjoy what you have to say when you do grace us with your presence (and Rufuz, too). b

Ed, I used to have the same problem - recently solved it.

My sophisticated wife and our elegant felines dine in one room - gaily discussing fashion, literary events, haute cuisine, etc.

The two dogs and I eat in another room. We burp, fart, and tell dirty jokes.

Nobody is offended anymore; and there is peace in our home once more.
