Oh my goodness, a heat wave approaches…

gonna be in the mid to upper forties this week,

That’s Fahrenheit to you Canadians,

I have to dig and get out my bathing suit,

seems the time to take a day off and go for a swim,

and to sun on the beach, and feel out of reach,

for just one day, yep, this is what I say!

hope you too are expecting some warmth,

but if not, no offense meant, but better me than you,

I have had the cold, the snow and the wet,

better for us to finally start to get,

some nicer weather, as we have yet,

to have that winter thaw we so often get,

each and every winter,

so here I am, I am all set,

I got my thongs,

I got my tube & my surfboard,

I got my sun lotion, dark glasses and hat,

man I am so freakin’ ready, please oh please,

to the gods of the sun, just help us out,

                        just please us, LET!
