I meant it all in jest,
Please don't put me in a vest,
And subject me to that rubber room,
Better to give me a job pushing a broom,
In a cat shelter or tomb...ed

RE”CAT”ION…

seems I knew when I wrote my story about alf,

that the cat lovers of the den would thus unite,

into an attack force that of something as yet unseen,

so prior to that force becoming a reality, so mean,

let me here apologize & retract that which I have previously deemed,

as just a joke, a humoristic example of my comedic ineptitude…

sorry to all you cat lovers out there, my condolences & sympathies,

if any of your cats saw alf in his glory,

and died of fright, so gory,

I truly mean this from the bottom of my seat,

I felt the need to do this as it is only my story…

never was I subjected to owning a cat,

so maybe that is where I learned where it’s at,

blame it on the dogs in my life,

I never truly loved a cat like that of a dog,

guess I am truly prejudiced, and for that,

I will take it all to the mat, so sorry…

I have learned my lesson,

but lets not get to far overboard here,

if I go much further with this apology,

I find that it will be turned around,

and I am truly afraid of that, I fear…

sorry you are not fond of cats. Many people absolutely hate cats. I think they are sneaky, but love them as pets. My mother never let me bring a cat home when I visited the Farm, so now I an adult I can have my cat.

Don't worry about it...not all like cats, but I am one who does. I have never had a dog (well, ONE when I was little; but I was scared of it! REALLY! And I never could get attached to dogs like I can to a cat until only recently!), so my situation is opposite of yours! I like SOME dogs (especially RUFUZ!), but I am more of a cat lover! Always have been! It helped having some great cats in my life; I didn't own them, they owned ME, especially "Cajun"! LOL (She was more like a dog at times; I called her my "PuppyCat"! LOL)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Cute write!

no need to apologize...not all of us like cats. look at me: i also love rufuz *woOf* and other dogs have been pets of mine (sultan, a half chow/half wolf *and 100 % chicken LOL* and beezers, an american eskimo--we called them spitz a hundred years ago LOL).

adore your poetry, and especially you and rufuz *wOOf!*

((((HUGS)))) and love, karla. :)

Ed, my cats are stout hearted. They would make Alf sorry if he came near them, for they haven't had their nails cut lately. Of course they would never scratch their mom and dad, but they sure would Alf.

I was once told two things you never do in horror's is kill children or cats. I am going to send you to the rubber room just for the fun of it :-) Imagine all the bouncing you can do :-)

Warning, Ed. Sleep with one eye open tonight. I hear through the cat grapevine that the ghosts of all the cats who died of fright when they saw Alf's picture in your den - are heading east - to New Jersey. Be afraid, Ed; be very afraid! (Feline Ghosts are the worst.)

Glad I don't have to print a retraction about the poem I wrote for Rufuz. Would that be called a "Re 'Dog' Night"?
