Should I or shouldn't I...?

home today, gone tomorrow…

another sick day I took,

just to let myself get a look,

at what my schedule is & start to write a book,

of my poetry, my short stories and how I cook…

no really, should I put all this junk in a book,

or should I just keep it for myself, my progeny,

if I ever deem it necessary to make some,

because I have no idea as to how to even start,

a book of my poetry would be the way to impart,

to the world in general, how it feels to be me,

how it is to be me, yes, and how it feels to be smart…

okay, so I am herein showing my big head, yes I agree,

not the one in my pants, but you don’t need to know that,

my big head, my belief that I am better than I am,

you know with a big head, one needs to know his size,

as if he doesn’t he won’t be able to get the right hat, extra fat…

okay, herein I would rather write, yes I use the same words sometimes thrice,

but to write is more fun, than to print a book,

so many lawyers, editors & like that have to get their look,

and I know they have to also get their share, they have to took…

that last line was not too good, was it, but I have poetic license,

as a poet, I can make words up, well to a small degree,

and I can use words where they should not really be,

so here I say, if I was to write a book, would it be bought,

would it be sold,

would it be printed,

I really hope that it would just go gold…!

I think that may just work Ed, especially if you use the angle that you do so often and alternate out with Rufz...I really like it when he gets into the act with you, yall make a great team...and he would probably be happy with a few steaks for royalties as well...good luck,
Allen

Hi Ed,
Enjoyed the humor...
You must do what your
heart tells you to do.
If it is your dream to
get published, you must
at least give it a try.
Otherwise, you will have
only regrets later on...

IMO!!!

That is what we all wish for Ed...I have a chapbook out and get
commissions on it...let me tell you...I used to be able to buy a coke with the commision...now maybe a light lunch...who knows..maybe one day I will even be able to buy a full dinner....LOL...but at least I got my name in print...it is a thrill....and I didn't self publish...so I am happy...I don't think I will strive for anymore books....the Den is enough for me...do what makes you happy...and by the way....the E-books ( computer books not hard copy) that Peg publishes are beautiful....floria

Ed;

I am outraged. This is not poetic license. It is poetic licentiosness.

We ALL wish we could put our thoughts and writings in a book; you are CERTAINLY NOT alone! It's only some people have done it a LOT sooner than we have! (I am hoping to get some stories published; but nothing's come to light as of yet. But I AM working on it!)

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

Keep on writing my friend! Don't EVER give up coz I am NOT!!
