pussies, kitties, felines, Furball Spitting CATS...

Remember that this is supposed to be humor, so dont go overboard in your review or comment of this poem...I can have as much fun as the next dog, cat, er, uh, man...

   pussies, kitties, felines,

  FURBALL SPITTING CATS…

OKAY! You’re right, we have been a bit “ruff” on cats of late,

But now I am tired of all the love shown these wastes of fur,

Better to use the unused fur on a warm mitten,

Rather than that of a pain in the butt little kitten,

What do they do for ya?

Sit around and make furball’s all day, giving you something,

To clean off your brand new rug, and then go up to your bed,

And do the same thing there,

Oh how cute, it upchucked in my hair,

What good are they, do they fetch the paper, or your slippers,

Or let you know when a burglar is lurking,

No, that duty they are usually shirking,

Peeing & pooping in the box you just preened,

Cause it stood there and made noises like it would die, if not cleaned…

Oh yes they sit in your lap and purr the day away,

Sure, just remember what happens when their dinner is not ready on time,

Screaming and shouting, I want my dinner, I want my dinner,

Is all you hear, from that whining mouth, perfectly clear,

If that were your kid, you would have boxed his ears,

But no this is your cat, your kitty, your baby so dear…

Okay so here my rant is done,

I know I will be inundated with more mundane reviews, regarding same,

All or mostly so freakin’ lame, but the gist of this is,

My relationship with cats, kitties, pussies or felines,

Has never been very happy, hell would be better with that of an equine,

You never hear them for their dinner, whine…

Cute write, Ed, even though we know you hate cats. That is okay; not all of us like dogs (But I DO like SOME dogs, especially Rufuz! He's okay in my book! And so are Pomeranians, Labrador Retrievers, and Cocker Spaniels! Oh, and I also love Spitzes and Huskies!)! Sometimes cats don't seem to be nearly as good of pets in comparison to dogs, but you would have loved my cat, "Cajun"! She was more like a DOG than a cat in a lot of ways! Well, maybe not LOVED, but maybe liked at least a little..she could warm up to people, and people (excepting for my Uncle Steve, my daddy's brother) loved her (or, at best, TOLERATED her!)! She was good at winning people over with her crazy ways!

(((HUGS))) and much love, your friend in Tx., Karen Lynn. :D

I share my abode and friendship with six beloved, mystical, loving, indoor felines. They are my only family. Your lamenting poem was taken in understanding and friendly jest by me. Quite clever!

Now Ed, just last night you emailed me and told me you really do like cats. Were you just being nice? P.S. I'm not upset as long as you don't mind me calling Rufuz and Dufuz. LOL
