SOMETIMES A PAIN…

I AM FOLLOWED LIKE THAT OF A SHADOW,

I SIT AND HIS PAW BECOMES PART OF MY KNEE,

I LAY AND HIS HEAD HE DOES NUZZLE ON MY CHEST,

I START TO DRESS, HE SITS RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME,

I MAKE HIM MOVE AND HE GETS THIS LOOK,

Of rejection & dejection that tears at my heart…

Daddy why can’t you just come out like you sleep?

sorry, Rufuz, in the nude I can’t, arrested I’ll be,

But daddy they don’t arrest me,

Because they are afraid of you, dear Rufuz,

You pain in the ass furbag, afraid you will,

attack and maim, because a dog that has to go,

can be a terribly vicious creature, I should know…

So Rufuz my puppy, I have my clothes on now,

Let me get to the door, no don’t knock me down,

Oh pardon me for living, just scoot on past,

Not even worried who comes out last,

As long as you are first, hey the snow is slippery,

don’t make me fall, or I will be wearing a cast,

You stinkin' pain in the a**...
