He Did Sleep...

To sleep, perchance to sleep somemore...LOL!

HE DID SLEEP…

There once was a guy name of Ed,

who wanted to spend his life in bed,

Sleeping was the thing that Ed did best,

But it caused his wife grief,

As it put his affairs in the red…

So, for Ed it was off to work,

To drive the day away, calling other drivers jerks,

Ed did find, he loved to drive,

a certain pleasure, he did derive…

So now Ed does awaken at nine,

Although he would prefer to sleep,

That would also be fine,

But a shower he takes,

Which usually finds him to wake,

so he is up for the day,

Working for the meager money he makes, but no whine…

He and his dog, Rufuz, live in New Jersey,

No that is not Guernsey,

He drives a pick up truck for work,

But for fun, he drives a jeep,

He does try oh so hard to keep,

His car from getting dirty, oh that’s the jeep…

But try as he might,

It is a futile task,

Better to take a trip,

Maybe to the sunny shores of the south,

to find a nice beach and bask,

In the sun light, so bright,

And sleep, sleep, sleep…good night…

they say the older you get the less sleep you need. I am finding this is true for me. I use to sleep a lot. Not anymore :-) Work does keep us busy :-)
